    1. Get the development needs. Boil it down to the superior three development needs, or even in simple terms, “what do you think you’re looking to get from a program?” Typical answers are “learn how to be a little more strategic”, “leading change”, or some blend of functional knowledge (finance, sales, and marketing). There could be is often a timeframe that’s better or worse than others (i.e., next 6 months, prevent the summer, etc…)

    2. Search your selected executive education providers.

    3. Once you discover a couple potential programs, get a good fit. Glance at the recommended participant level, participant mix, industry mix, and company participation.

    4. Read the instructors, browse the bios. Review the day by day agenda, topics, and activities. Again, you are considering an excellent fit for your participant and his/her development needs. Talk with the provider’s Exec Ed Director, or someone who can assist you find out more on the programs.

Ask other’s should they have knowledge about the program.

    5. Talk with past participants if possible, or someone in charge of leadership/executive development development.

    6. Geography is often an issue. Hunting for a global experience? Than choose a good blend of global participants, or even better, attend a course away from U.S.

    7. Length of program: Programs range from 2-3 days to 6 weeks. I honestly do not know how one could afford to visit a 6 week program nowadays, unless they are over a sabbatical or their clients are just trying to get gone them for a time.

    8. Look into the amenities’. Fine, I am aware, this can be a chance to learn and not a vacation, but high quality food, accommodations, and surroundings each one is section of the total experience. Also check if the bedroom and foods are within the program.

    9. Factors that will not an element of a choice: alumni relationships, timing coinciding together with the NCAA playoffs, and catchy program titles.

    10. All things considered of this, narrow it as a result of 2-3 program, and then select depending on best fit, timing, and expenses.
